Okay! Gonna keep this one short and sweet! Taking the learnings we gathered from the transistor lab and the relay lab, we can merge the two and create a way to start up a motor!
So we have some familiar faces in configuration over here on the left to allow the current to run in two different directions in order to grant the motor a different circulation, thus giving it a counter/clockwise direction!
Now that that's over and done with, we can move on to what's known as an H-bridge!
This allows us to utilize 4 different configurations of current that can do anything from move the motor counter/clockwise as well as braking and decelerating.
I got a bit of a junky motor,so try to forgive my "twist" starting it a little. Otherwise it would have just done little jolts of movement.
Let's try putting into practice the stuff we just learned and attaching it to an Arduino! With nothing but an H-bridge (pictured left).
Doesn't seem like much but a lot of energy had to be utilized for that little jolt! Notice the twist in both directions! That's the board sending out electricity from the two designated outputs!
